In-Zee develops acoustic solutions that improve acoustics. Sustainability is an integral part of the way we work. It reflects the quality of our products, the choices we make in the use of materials and the way we manufacture. We believe that sustainable solutions start with thoughtful design and a long lifespan.
Durable materials
PET Felt; durable, robust and versatile.
PET Felt is widely used in our collection as an acoustic base material for dividers, rooms and lighting. Because the material is easy to work with and has good acoustic properties, it is an efficient material to produce.
PET Felt consists of about 75% of post-consumer recycled plastic making it a highly sustainable material.
Moreover, PET Felt is a robust material that lasts a long time. PET Felt parts in our products are easily replaceable and the material 100% recyclable.
Aluminium - 100% recyclable, 0% waste.
Our acoustic panels are constructed from lightweight and strong aluminium frames, finished with a high-quality woven acoustic fabric. The aluminium is infinitely recyclable and our profiles consist of at least 65% of recycled aluminium.
For 67%, the acoustic fabric consists of post-consumer PET. The fabric can easily be changed, e.g. in case of new furnishing or change of function.
As a result, the panels are designed for reuse and full recycling, fitting within a circular and future-proof design.
Sustainable by design
Our products are designed with a longer life cycle and full recyclability in mind. For example, we work on the principle of “no screw no glue”, which means products are pressure-fitted together and thus easy to disassemble.
By taking material dimensions into account at the design stage, we reduce waste. From residual material, we again make small parts for our lamps.

Sustainably produced in the Netherlands
By using 40 MWh self-generated solar energy we save approximately 15 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. In doing so, we significantly reduce our impact on the environment and actively contribute to a more sustainable energy supply.

Our materials and methods are tested and certified. Thus, we can help with various certifications such as EPD in BREEAM applications, among others.
